Hey There !

Prague ❤️ What can I say about the gorgeous city, still cannot get over it. Prague ( local’s call it Praha) is one of the most beautiful city I have visited in my life, Situated in the eastern side of Europe, attracts many tourism because of its beauty and magical Aura. In this blog, I will tell you the best things to do and best places to visit when on a small budget in Prague.

Prague

Charles Bridge

It is very crowded almost throughout the day. The best time to visit for that perfect pic is early morning when you can have the bridge all for yourself 😉 And when on Charles Bridge, do not forget to look for the Falling Priest and touch it to make a wish. Legend says that it brings you good luck and brings you back to Prague again 😉
Highly recommended: You can also visit the Charles bridge tower. The ticket for the Charles bridge tower cost around 5 euro pp but if offers you perhaps the best panoramic view of the city.
PRAGUE

The Old Town Square

Old Town square is very close to Charles bridge. It is also the place which displays one of the most famous Christmas markets in Europe.
Within the town square, you can find the Astronomical Clock which gives a ‘kukoo’ show every hour. You can miss it if on tight time but the clock in itself is pretty impressive. Here too, like Charles bridge tower, you can have a panoramic view of the city from the clock tower.

Pro Tip: Escape the crowd by going into smaller lanes. You will be surprised to see many unique shops and cafes.

The Prague Castle

Prague castle is the biggest castle complex since the 9th century and now occupied by the current President  (Lucky him!). The castle province is made of different buildings, viz Cathedral of St Vitus, Old Royal Palace, St George’s Basilica, Golden Lane etc

You can enter the complex for free but if you want to enter different buildings, listed above, you will have to buy a ticket. The best way is to buy it online as it usually there is a long queue at the ticket office inside the complex.

Pro Tip: I will recommend you to buy (Circuit B) ticket which included all the must-visit places like Cathedral of St Vitus, St Wenceslas and St Adalbert, Old Royal Palace, St George’s Basilica, Golden Lane with Daliborka Tower.

Highly Recommended: If you are hungry, do visit ‘Kuchyen’ restaurant opposite Prague castle. You can try amazing goulash and other local food here. Please make a reservation if planning to go for lunch has its quite busy every day.

Prague can rightly be crowned as the beer town of Europe, for its amazing local beers. One of the best and unique places to try out the beers is the beer monasteries in Prague.

Yes, you heard it right!!!!
If you are near the castle, do visit Strahov Monastery. Located just 15 mins walk from Prague castle. It also has an underground restaurant ‘Peklo’ which was earlier used by the King as his personal wine cellar. Enjoy the royal cellar and the blessed beers!
