The above picture is of a very traditional spanish sea food called Paella. It is predominantly a rice dish along with fresh sea food. Simply unresistable!!!!.
While Paella originally comes from Valencia, the region just south to Barcelona, still you can find a delicious Paella in the Barcelona. There are many versions of this dish with different combination of spices and aroma.

The street has plenty of options of fresh sea food and you can have your yummiest Paella is one of the restaurants here. I personally had it in Restaurant Port Vell. Though a bit pricy but it was worth having it.(Plus the ambience was great)
Spanish Tapas :
Your Spain trip is incomplete without a meal consisting of mouth-watering tapas. Tapas bars are a heaven for a foodie like me. Tapas are small portion snacks which can be eaten throughout the day. It is a perfect fit along with local sangria or pivo (beer). During my stay in the Catalan capital, I made sure that my one meal of the day was definitely only tapas. Forget pub crawl and go with tapas bas crawl.

Pro Tip: To have best tapas in Barcelona without paying the tourist prices for it, please go to the street Carrer de Blai. There are plenty of quality tapas options there and are reasonably priced from 0,7 euro to 1,5 euro each.
Do not have these foods in La Ramblas, which is a tourist hotspot. The prices there are two high and does not matches the quality.
